I'm a science tutor who is friendly, energetic, and makes use of diverse teaching methodologies. I've had the opportunity to tutor students across wide array of ages and backgrounds, and I've gotten positive evaluations from my students. My experience academically and in the field allows me to take concepts from the textbook and explain with real world applications of them. I'll keep students engaged by creating a laid-back tutoring environment with interesting discussions and collaborative learning. I want my students to be interested in the subject, because when they're having fun and being stimulated they are more likely to learn effectively and be motivated to achieve success. I have a broad academic background in science, and I can help students learn biology, earth science, geology, physical science, environmental science, chemistry, and others. I am also adept at modifying my approach based on the environment and the requirements, including classroom teaching and working in the field to lead a marine ecology course. When I have free time, I like to play volleyball, read, travel, and cook.
