Experience
As a student at Penn State Schreyer Honors College, I majored in French and international politics. Geopolitics was the subject of my honors thesis, and I minored in international studies and geography. The core of what I tutor tends to be the humanities, namely French, English, ESL, and geography. For three years I worked as a teacher's assistant in a cultural geography class, helping tutor students who needed assistance. I also enjoy working with students on test preparation.I am particularly adept at tutoring French, as I can speak it fluently as a result of the time I spent in Montpellier, France, attending a local university. During my time there, I engaged in focused training in French language studies. I am naturally a patient person. I bring a level of enthusiasm to every session that I hope spreads to the students. I try to be intuitive and gauge what each student needs then approach teaching in a logical way. I feel that this makes me a good tutor. When I'm not tutoring, I love doing yoga, making art, reading, singing, and shopping.
