I attended both UCLA and Duke University. I have worked as an instructor and as a tutor for the past ten years. I have both volunteered and worked for paying companies as an undergraduate student, where I worked with urban youth who needed extra support with their academics. I worked with my students to ensure that they completed their assignments. I also taught them how to become organized and use time management techniques and skills that would make them successful not only in their classes but in their lives as well.  Recently, I have been a Math tutor for fifth-grade students. I also teach classes that focus on improving the students' interpersonal skills and strive to bring about awareness to diversity. I tutor Algebra 1 and 2, Elementary and Middle School Math, Geometry, College Essays, Essay Editing, Public Speaking, Writing, American History, Geography, Government, Study Skills and Organization, Economics, Social Studies, Business, and Test Prep. I am known for being patient, well prepared, and having a great sense of humor. I like to have fun with the subject material. I have received positive feedback from my students, and I try to build a personal relationship with each one of them. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and running.
