EducationB.S. in Music Engineering & Technology with a Minor in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami in 2014. I held a 3.8 in my music studies and my principle instrument was classical saxophone.
ExperienceI love music, and have always enjoyed music theory because it gives great insight and connects the dots into what you're actually playing; classical or otherwise. I took AP Music Theory in high school and scored a 5. I had four semesters of Music Theory in college, four semesters of Ear Training, two semesters of Orchestration, and one in Pop Composition. I maintained a B+ average in all those classes, and thoroughly enjoyed the classes and helping my peers out when they needed a better understanding. I have played saxophone for 10+ years, and got into school for that. I started guitar about 10 years ago, and picked up the bass along the way. When learning theory in high school, I taught myself piano and later had four semesters of keyboarding in college. I can teach any of these instruments, especially in the context/in conjunction to music theory and ear training.
HobbiesI currently play bass in a funky reggae-rock band, play weekly shows, and produce music on my own. I am always playing around with songs or instruments; I play the saxophone, guitar, bass, piano, and sing. When I'm not doing music, I like adventuring, going out to DC, working out, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends.
