I earned a BS (English) and MEd (educational administration) degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana. I earned a PhD (education leadership / public policy and law) from The Ohio State University, Columbus. Post-doctoral fellowships included a year-long stint as a district-level public school administrator in Michigan and a one-year appointment as a Washington (DC) Intern in Education with the Institute for Educational Leadership.
Experience
Upon completion of my undergraduate work, I began service as a Teacher of English in public schools in Indiana and Illinois. I later returned to the classroom as a volunteer teacher where I taught for two years in the schools of the Episcopal Dioceses of Honduras, CA. My most recent teaching assignment took me to Indonesia where I taught ESL at St. Andrew's Primary School, a mission school of the Anglican Diocese of Singapore.

Hobbies
An long-time active member of Christ Church in Old Town, I have served as a licensed Lay Eucharistic Minister. I also travel frequently to Honduras with the Christ Church Mission Team on its annual Summer visit to San Pedro Sula and Our Little Roses, an orphanage for girls. More recently I have completed a year's assignment as a Volunteer Long-Term Care Ombudsman. I currently serve as a Volunteer Tutor for residents of Annie B. Rose House who wish to learn basic computer skills and related applications.
