Hobbies
I have done work in school and community theatre. I love English literature, particularly Victorian, and am pretty good at translating it to others. I like working with young people because of their energy and fresh take on life. I am old-fashioned in study values but try to keep my lessons fresh and energetic. I have a layman's interest in history, working in early modern theatre, volunteering at a colonial farm and a Federal mansion in the past. I headed a student society at Oxford called History Alive!, where we produced a 17th-century opera, re-enacted the Lancashire witch trials, and held history fairs to help people relive the past.
