I love tutoring and teaching! I specialize in tutoring all levels of Biology, Science, Biochemistry, Math, and Arabic. I work with each student according to their needs. My goal for each session is to ensure successful learning by encouraging students to take an active responsibility for their learning and through stressing critical thinking and understanding of their subjects. I challenge my students without overwhelming them, and I assign homework after each lesson as well as provide periodic assessments and progress reports. I have been teaching a variety of subjects to college students and K-12 students for all of my career. My teaching experiences have been diverse and allowed me the pleasure to work with students from a variety of educational levels, learning styles, and needs. Throughout my career, my students enthusiastically made strategic choices, reflected on their learning processes, collaborated often, and provided constant input and feedback to improve the program. I have a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, and ever since I enrolled in my graduate program I fell in love with teaching. During my Master's degree program, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant teaching a variety of Biology, Biochemistry, and Immunology courses and labs to undergraduate student. I tutored many students who were taking other Biology courses as well as many high and middle schools students who needed extra help in Biology and Science. After earning my degree, I taught advanced level Biology courses to college students with great success. In addition, I have been certified as a Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System (UCMAS) course instructor. I have successfully developed and implemented several mental arithmetic programs at various elementary and middle schools. I integrated technology to engage learners and implemented a variety of assessments to ensure maximum learning in each course unit. Every one of my students knew what we were learning, why we were learning it, and how it applied to the world beyond the classroom.

Above all, as a mother of three beautiful kids in elementary and middle schools in Virginia, I am constantly working with my kids on their science, math, and language skills, and I am very proud of their achievements. I am available for tutoring basically every day from 9:30 am to 9:00 pm. I can meet my students at their preferred location or we can agree to meet in a library or a coffee shop.
